Late last year, the village acquired 32 acres of land south of Machine Concepts on State Route 66. This 32 acre parcel will become the village newest industrial park area with construction on the development of that land already starting. Paulus Excavating has been hired to begin the process of leveling out the ground and preparing the lots for building. In addition, Choice One Engineering has been hired to develop plans for the extension of utilities to the area and plans for the construction of a street through the development. These engineering plans will then be used to seek bids from contractors for this work which should begin over the winter months.
The 32 acre parcel will be able to be divided into smaller lots to accommodate businesses who would like to locate in the industrial park. Just in the short time that the land has been owned by the Village, the Village has received several calls regarding the availability of lots. Currently, one lot is in the process of being purchased by a local company who will be expanding their businesses.
